This book, published by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, comes out in a new edition every couple of years, but for the most part the property descriptions don't change, although prices and contact information does (recent editions have Internet and e-mail addresses for many of the inns). Criteria for inclusion are structures that are at least 50 years old and have retained their architectural integrity.
