Description: Focuses primarily on period when Army Quartermaster Depot
was there. This was a transshipment point where supplies were
unloaded from ships which came up the Colorado River from
California to Port Isabel and then transferred their loads to
river steamers which brought them to Yuma, which kept enough
supplies on hand to supply all the military posts in a 5 state
area for 6 months
