Description: Living History museum on the
Potomac River, directly across from Mount Vernon It
depicts typical farm life on a small tobacco farm in the
1770s. The site also includes an Ecosystem farm with current
techniques and practices demonstrated.

| What kind of visit you can have:
Visit the farm and witness farm and living techniques of
the 1770s with a farmhouse, tobacco house, and heirloom
varieties of plants and animals. A nature trail
connects the historic period activity with a modern farm
using ecological methods of raising crops. The aim
is very much education of both children and adults.
Also on the site is Piscataway Park (total park size is
5000 acres, Accokeek Foundation stewards 200 acres)
and an Ecosystem Farm |
