  • 90 minutes from Bedford If you are a fan of Jimmy Stewart, this museum is for you. Stewart movies always playing and a great gift shop, especially "Wonderful Life" items.

  • Johnstown Floyd Museum

  • 50 minutes from Bedford The museum preserves the story of the 1889 flood in which 2209 people lost their lives and tens of thousand were left homeless. Call 814-539-1889
  • Kentucky Knob

  • 90 minutes west of Bedford
  • TITLE DEED HISTORIC HOMES

  • Lesser known then Fallingwater, but visitors seem to enjoy it as much or more.
  • The Keystone Foundry

  • 35 minutes from Bedford Route 915, 1/2 mile off Route 26, P.O. Box 12, Hopewell, PA 16650 814-928-5111 Opened in 1857, this site has been preserved just as it was left in 1935. The machines and tools offer a peek into our industrial history when this complex forged metal for the Huntingdon and Broad Top Railroad.

  • Lincoln Highway (Driving Tour)

  • The Lincoln Highway (Route 30) was the country's first coast-to coast road and it passes right through Bedford County. Some interesting old sites still exist here, including the Coffee Pot and an Art-Deco Gulf Station.
