Description: Museum at beginning of Canal trail.
One of two facilities in Lockport at the beginning of
the I&M Canal National Heritage Corridor. A visit
here should be part of a tour of the canal corridor, or at
least in conjunction with a visit of the I&M Canal Visitor
Center run by the state and the National Trust at 200 W 8th
St.

The main museum was the headquarters of the I&M
Canal Commission, which built the canal, exhibits focus
on canal and local history. The settlement is a
group of buildings relocated to the site from around the
county. |
