County Historical Museum

Description: The
Houghton County Historical Museum, home of the Copper
Country Railroad Heritage Center, is located in historic
Lake Linden, Michigan. It was once the site of the largest
copper milling operation in North America.
The museum is developing an interpretive walking tour trail
which begins on the Museum campus, the heart of the former C&H Mill site,
and travels to the north end of the Village of Lake Linden and on the south to
the C&H Suction
Dredge on the shores of Torch Lake north of the Quincy
