prosperous until bypassed by the railroads in the 1830s.
Visitor center, guided tours of seven buildings from the 1760 Owens
house to the 1838 jail, and an archaeological site.

| What kind of visit you can have: The
Visitor Center offers an introductory tour and exhibits
and is the origination point for all tours. There are
three tours available, from 25-45 minutes. Historic
buildings include several houses, a tavern, Clerk
of Court's Office, and jail. There is also an archaeological
exhibit constructed over an excavation. |
