Fort
Abraham Lincoln State Park
|
| . |
Description: Two sites in one park.
On-A-Slant Village was an earth lodge village, deserted
by 1800, which once had a population of 1000. Four
reconstructed earth lodges and a religious structure stand at
the village. There is a museum across a foot
bridge. The fort buildings mark the place where Custer
departed on his final expedition. Buildings include the
Custer House, Commissary, barracks, and blockhouses.
