Description: From 1820-1827 this post was
western-most point of government authority, in charge of
regulating the fur trade, and the location of the first school
and library in Nebraska. Restoration is ongoing, with an
interpretive center, restored Armorer's Shop, two barracks
walls and Council house providing focal points for
interpreters.
