FACTORY BUILDING CLOSED FOR RENOVATION UNTIL APRIL 2008 Nine buildings including the
Vail homestead, two other houses, two carriage houses, and the
Factory, which was built for cotton looms and later housed a
grist mill. The second floor was used to help perfect
the invention of the telegraph. New exhibit on S.S.
Savannah, first steamship to cross the Atlantic, to open
July 2006 |
