Description: Perhaps the most famous military
encampment in American history, Valley Forge housed the Continental
Army in the winter of 1777-1778, and over 2,000 soldiers died
from disease and hardship. There is a visitors center
and Washington's headquarters on the 3600 acres of the park,
as well as an Artillery park and reconstructed soldier's
huts.
