Today this is predominantly a state park for
recreational purposes, formed from the estate of
industrialist Samuel Colt (http://www.riparks.com/colthistory.htm). There is a large barn
designed for a herd of prize cows and entrance gates
with two large statues of bulls. Adjacent to Coggeshell Farm, an 18th century working farm (410)
