Description: The
Log Cabin Village consists of
seven authentic
log homes dating from the mid to late 1800s, six of which were
moved and restored at the Village site in the 1950s, and the
last one in 1974. Each is decorated with museum quality
antiques and artifacts, some of which belonged to the families
that once lived in the homes. Period dressed interpreters
greet visitors inside each cabin, telling the history of the
home and answering questions.

Visitors take a self-guided
tour through the cabins, enjoying demonstrations of
pioneer life and activities, and talking with period
dressed interpreters. Weekend craft activities occur twice
a month during September-May, such as Family Candle
Dipping, Make a Pew Baby Doll, and
