Description: Originally built by prison
labor to transport iron ore and wood to a prison operated iron
smelter, the line was later extended with prison labor and all
crews except the engineer were prisoners. The line was
leased to private railroads from 1921 to 1969 and reopened
with two depots, four steam locomotives and four antique diesel
locomotives in 1976.
