City with reenactments of events leading to the American

| What kind of visit you can have:
If you plan to visit and want to avoid
the crowds, our best trip was on a cold, rainy weekend in
early March. The gardens weren't yet flowering and there
weren't many special events, but there were no crowds, and you
could talk at length with the craftspeople. You can
book most activities online or at the 800 number. |
